Is 123Movies | Download & Stream Movies safe?
123Movies scans pages that merely look like IMDb listings and fetches matching stream links from vidsrc.xyz.
The extension watches every page you visit for an IMDb-style URL or a 'TV Series' label, without checking that the page is actually on imdb.com, and sends the detected title ID to vidsrc.xyz to pull a stream/download overlay. Clicking the injected Stream Now or Download links sends the title name and stream URL to soap2daydownload.com and a local companion server in plain, unencrypted HTTP. Its download page also overlays an invisible button on an embedded Google search-results iframe, so the first click on the page opens the vendor's own promo page instead of the search result underneath.
