Is DownPictures - Product Image & Video Download Tool safe?
DownPictures injects a remote-controlled floating button and menu on every website, redirecting to Alibaba/1688.com affiliate links.
On every site you visit (not just the ~200 e-commerce platforms it's built to support), DownPictures adds a floating button and a right-click context menu entry whose appearance and behavior are controlled by JSON configs the extension fetches from its developer's own server. The bundled fallback config, which is already live on the installed version, enables a button and menu item that open an Alibaba/1688.com affiliate redirect link unrelated to the extension's stated image and video download purpose. Because the remote config can be changed at any time without a new extension release, the developer can silently repoint or widen these buttons to any site or URL.
