Is Flight Tab Pro & Custom Web Search safe?

Flight Tab Pro redirects all address-bar and new-tab searches through Yahoo affiliate URLs that pay the publisher per query.

On installation, the extension sets Yahoo Hosted Search as the browser's default search engine via manifest search_provider overrides, embedding affiliate tracking parameters (hspart, hsimp, type) that generate revenue for the publisher with each search. The new-tab homepage uses a separate Yahoo affiliate slot with different parameters, meaning both search entry points route queries through monetised URLs. User search terms are sent to search.yahoo.com as part of normal query processing.
