Is Kaspersky Protection 2021 safe?

Kaspersky Protection 2021 forwards browsing URLs, form credentials, and cookies to the local Kaspersky desktop app via native messaging.

The extension monitors navigation events, XHR request URLs, and tab lifecycle changes, forwarding each event to the Kaspersky native host running on the same machine. On password and login form submissions, it reads field values and sends either an MD5 hash of the password or base64-encoded usernames to the local Kaspersky product. It also relays browser cookie read and write operations for any URL at the request of the local application.
