Relingo runs on every page and sends words and sentences you select to its own API and to third-party dictionary and translation services.

Relingo's content script loads on all pages (including local files) and, when you select or hover over text, posts that text to api.relingo.net for AI translation and grammar analysis. The same selections are also relayed through a background fetch proxy to outside dictionary and machine-translation providers such as Collins, Longman, Oxford, Merriam-Webster, Youdao, Microsoft Translator, NiuTrans, and DeepL to build word definitions and translations.
