Is SocialFocus — Hide Feeds, Block Shorts & Remove Distractions safe?

SocialFocus fetches server-controlled CSS selectors from untrap.app and applies them to social media pages without integrity validation.

Each time the popup opens, the extension contacts untrap.app to download updated CSS selector rules for up to 15 social media sites. These rules are stored locally and applied to page content without any allowlist check or integrity verification, meaning the server can alter which elements are hidden or shown on those sites. The full settings list is also fetched from the same server on first load.
