Is Avira Password Manager safe?

Avira Password Manager syncs encrypted vault data to Avira servers and sends opt-out telemetry to Google Analytics.

The extension stores saved passwords in an encrypted vault and syncs it to Avira's cloud backend (ncs-ds.avira.com) using protobuf over HTTPS. The master password is never transmitted; encryption key derivation uses PBKDF2 locally before any data leaves the device. A background script also sends product usage events and a persistent anonymous client ID to Google Analytics on install, update, and browser launch; this telemetry can be disabled via the 'Share anonymous statistics' toggle in settings.
