Is Disconnect safe?

Disconnect blocks tracker requests on all sites using hourly-refreshed rules fetched from services.disconnect.me without integrity checks.

The extension intercepts every HTTP and HTTPS request across all websites and blocks or redirects those matching tracker entries from a bundled services list. Once per hour it fetches updated blocking and URL-hardening rules from services.disconnect.me; those server-supplied rules are applied as regex replacements to intercepted URLs with no signature or hash check on the downloaded data.
