Is Hoxx VPN Proxy safe?

Hoxx VPN Proxy sends proxy error URLs and user IDs to its API servers and fetches its server list from unsigned public CDN buckets.

When the VPN proxy fails to resolve hostnames, the extension collects the affected URLs (with the user's account ID) and transmits them in batches every 15 minutes to account1.hoxx.com. The extension also downloads its proxy server list from multiple public CDN and GitHub-hosted mirrors without any integrity verification, meaning a compromise of any mirror could redirect all proxy traffic. A separate routine enumerates other installed browser extensions that hold proxy permission, but that data is kept locally and not transmitted.
