Is Capital One Shopping: Save Now safe?

Capital One Shopping collects Amazon purchase history, inferred location, and cross-site cookies and sends them to its servers.

On install and on session refresh, the extension silently fetches the user's Amazon order history and Prime membership status using the user's active Amazon cookies, then infers approximate geolocation by scraping the user's Google Maps page. It also reads the browser's full cookie jar to identify which shopping retailers the user has visited. All of this data is combined and sent as a JSON payload to capitaloneshopping.com.
