Is Hide Yo Links safe?

Hide Yo Links stores your PIN and hidden links in plaintext in local browser storage.

Hide Yo Links lets you set a PIN to hide a list of saved links, but it writes both the PIN and the links to chrome.storage.local with no hashing or encryption. The PIN only gates which screen the popup shows (locked vs. unlocked) — it never actually protects the stored data. Anyone who can read the extension's local storage on the browser profile can recover the PIN and every hidden link directly, without entering the PIN at all.
