Is ImageAssistant Batch Image Downloader safe?

ImageAssistant sends a persistent per-install tracking ID and extension version to pullywood.com on every startup.

Each time the browser starts, the extension contacts pullywood.com with a 32-character random ID generated at install time and stored permanently, along with the current extension version. It downloads a remotely-controlled set of regex URL rewrite rules that it applies to image URLs it extracts on behalf of the user, giving the server the ability to redirect which URLs the extension fetches. A separate request checks pullywood.com for a newer extension version using the same tracking identifier.
