Is NCOverlay safe?

NCOverlay lets any website read and change its local extension storage through a page-message bridge.

NCOverlay runs a content script on every website at page start and listens for page messages tied to its storage bridge. A webpage can use the bundled message namespace to read all chrome.storage.local data or change stored settings and state used by the extension.
