Is Scenery Tab safe?
Scenery Tab sends your precise location coordinates to OpenWeatherMap for local weather on the new tab page.
When the new tab page needs fresh weather data, Scenery Tab asks the browser for geolocation access and sends the latitude and longitude to OpenWeatherMap's One Call API. The returned forecast is stored locally and reused for up to two hours before the extension requests location-based weather again.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Scenery Tab contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
