Is Steam Workshop Downloader safe?
Steam Workshop Downloader rewrites the Steam subscribe button to open a cleartext steamworkshop.download URL.
When used on Steam Workshop file pages, it changes the Subscribe button into a Download link and sends the selected workshop item ID to steamworkshop.download over HTTP. The click can also include the Steam Workshop page as the browser referrer.
