Is Bitdefender TrafficLight for Firefox safe?

Bitdefender TrafficLight for Firefox sends every visited URL to Bitdefender's cloud servers for real-time threat classification.

On each tab navigation, the extension POSTs the full URL to nimbus.bitdefender.net for phishing and malware checks, building a record of browsing activity on Bitdefender's servers. On Facebook and Messenger, a content script reads message text from the DOM and relays it through a native messaging channel to the Bitdefender desktop application for scam-link scanning. Facebook sponsored-post data — including ad IDs, advertiser names, and redirect URLs — is also extracted and forwarded to Bitdefender's cloud for malvertising analysis.
