Code analysis shows that Watch Party works with Disney Plus [QVI] requests a JSON configuration from gathermetrics.live, stores it in IndexedDB, and uses those settings to decide which Disney+ viewing endpoints to query and how often to repeat the collection. The fallback configuration in the shipped code includes a two-minute viewing interval, Disney+ continue-watching and user-state API URLs, and field filters for viewing records. Code analysis shows that when you start or join a Disney+ watch party, the content script opens a Socket.IO connection to ws.primevideoparty.com. The extension code sends the party display name, party ID, Disney+ video identifier, progress time, and play, pause, or seek updates through that connection; dynamic analysis did not capture a live request during the tested session.
