Is 2! Authenticator safe?
2! Authenticator stores TOTP account secrets as reversible base64 JSON unless the user enables a password.
Account names, issuers, and TOTP secrets are saved in the TwoFactorSettings IndexedDB entry as base64-encoded JSON when no password key is set. Enabling an encryption password switches those records to PBKDF2/AES-GCM encryption, but accounts saved before that are otherwise stored in reversible local browser storage.
