Selected Text Magnifier inserts your text selection into its overlay via unescaped innerHTML, letting selected HTML execute on the page.

When you select text on a page and press Ctrl+Shift+M, the extension injects a content script that reads that selection and writes it straight into a popup overlay's innerHTML with no escaping. If the visible text you selected happens to contain HTML markup (for example from a forum post, chat message, or pasted code block), that markup is parsed and any embedded script runs immediately in the currently open page, with that page's cookies and session. The extension does not send any data off the device; the risk is limited to code execution within the page you're viewing.
