Is BibItNow! safe?

Extracts citation data from scholarly pages and other web pages in the user’s chosen format.

This extension runs when the user clicks its toolbar icon or uses the browser action shortcut, then tries to gather bibliographic data from the active article, book, thesis, or web page. For PDFs on supported publisher sites, it can offer to open the corresponding abstract page, and in some cases can preload it in the background to obtain citation data; these PDF fallback options can be disabled in global options.
