Is Boom Search safe?
Boom Search sets boomshare.ai as the default search engine, so address-bar queries go to its servers.
The extension contains only a manifest that replaces the browser's default search provider with boomshare.ai/search. Every search typed in the address bar is sent to that domain. It has no scripts or extra permissions, and Chrome shows its own confirmation when the default search changes.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Boom Search contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
