Is Cartoon Yourself safe?

Cartoon Yourself sends selected text to cartoonify.de over plain HTTP via a context menu shortcut.

When a user highlights text and triggers the context menu option, the extension opens a new tab to http://www.cartoonify.de with the selected text appended as a query parameter. Because the URL uses plain HTTP rather than HTTPS, the selected text is transmitted in cleartext. The extension has no content scripts and no access to page content beyond what the user explicitly selects.
