CookieCloud reads all browser cookies and uploads an encrypted copy to a third-party server every 10 minutes.
Once a sync password is set, CookieCloud reads every cookie in the browser (and optionally per-domain localStorage), encrypts the data, and automatically uploads it on a timer to ccc.ft07.com by default. The encryption key is derived from a single unsalted MD5 hash of the user's uuid and password, and an optional mode uses a fixed all-zero IV, both of which weaken the protection on the uploaded cookie and session data if the ciphertext is intercepted or the endpoint is compromised.
