Designer Tools is medium risk. Each time you open the Designer Tools panel, the extension reads the URL and domain of the page you are viewing, pairs it with your account ID and display name, and transmits that bundle to the developer's server (designer.tools/api/usage) within ten seconds. The transmission is encrypted with a key that is hardcoded into the extension's source code — the same key for every installation — which means any party who extracts that key can decrypt all usage records the server has ever collected.
