Is Earth Maps Satellite safe?
Earth Maps Satellite sets bestfreemaps.com as the browser's default search provider.
The extension's manifest replaces the default search engine with bestfreemaps.com, so searches typed in the address bar are sent to that site along with the search terms. On install it opens earth3dmaps.com and sets an uninstall page carrying a random ID. The popup itself only gives a prompt to search for a location.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Earth Maps Satellite contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
