Is Favorites Start Page safe?

Low risk

Favorites Start Page fetches bookmark and top-site pages to discover favicons for its new-tab page.

Favorites Start Page reads Chrome bookmarks and frequent sites to build its new-tab page. When it does not already have a cached favicon, it fetches the page URL without credentials, parses the HTML for icon links, and requests candidate icon files before caching the result by hostname.

Part of this rating comes from analysis signals we haven't published as detailed findings yet.
