Is HD Downloader for Instagram - High Definition Video safe?
HD Downloader for Instagram routes Instagram media downloads through pandahi.cc's StreamSaver frame.
When you save Instagram media, the content script creates a hidden StreamSaver iframe at pandahi.cc/mitm.html?version=2.0.0. It posts download metadata and a message channel to that frame, and the media bytes are handled through the frame instead of only by bundled extension code.
