Is Speed Dial 2 New tab page safe?

Speed Dial 2 New tab page syncs bookmarks and per-site visit patterns to the vendor's server every two hours.

Each time a new tab opens, the extension sends bookmark hostnames to three third-party logo services (favicone.com, cdn.brandfetch.io, logo.clearbit.com) as image URL requests. A background alarm runs every 120 minutes and POSTs the full bookmark list—including titles, URLs, visit counts, and time-of-day visit patterns—to speeddial2.com using stored credentials. A separate daily alarm POSTs a full backup of the same data to the same server.
