Is RECAP safe?

RECAP uploads PACER docket pages and downloaded court documents to the public CourtListener archive.

When the 'recap_enabled' option is on, RECAP sends the HTML of PACER docket, case-query, and appellate (ACMS) pages, along with any PDFs you download, to courtlistener.com's REST API using a fixed API token shared by all installs rather than a per-user credential. This is the extension's core function: it builds the free, public RECAP archive of U.S. federal court records from documents users already have access to. Uploading can be turned off in the extension's options page.
