Is Shoptimate : automatic price comparison safe?

Shoptimate collects product metadata and full page URLs from all websites and transmits them to its servers.

On every tab update, the extension scans visited pages for product information — including SKU, brand, model, GTIN, and LD+JSON structured data — and sends this data along with the full page URL to api.shoptimate.com and toolbar.shoptimate.com. The extension also injects JavaScript directly into host pages to monkey-patch XMLHttpRequest, intercepting all XHR calls made by the page and relaying matching requests back via postMessage.
