Is SponsorBlock for Spotify - Skip Sponsorships safe?
Skips crowdsourced sponsor and other marked segments in Spotify podcasts.
This extension modifies the Spotify web player at open.spotify.com to skip sponsors, intros, outros, advertisements, and other submitted parts of podcasts. Users can submit or vote on segment times, and the extension generates a random userID for submissions, voting, leaderboard placement, and submission reputation. Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed SponsorBlock contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
