Is Spotify Playback Speed safe?

Spotify Playback Speed adds a speed-control UI to the Spotify Web Player and stores your settings locally in the browser.

The extension injects a playback-speed slider and pitch-preserve toggle into the Spotify Web Player at open.spotify.com. It intercepts the native HTMLMediaElement playbackRate setter so only the extension's own speed changes take effect, preventing Spotify from overriding user selections. All settings (speed, pitch, min/max range) are persisted in localStorage and never transmitted anywhere.
