Is Star Explorer safe?
This extension replaces the new tab with a space-themed search page and daily astronomy backgrounds.
It provides a new tab experience with text search and rotating daily backgrounds. The description says it features NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day with space images and descriptions, and that new-tab search is set to the service provided while search is powered by the default search engine.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Star Explorer contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
