When summarizing a YouTube video, VidMate fetches captions and includes transcript text, the page title, and the URL in prompts sent through ChatGPT or the OpenAI API. When the popup summarizer is used on a matched page, it reads the page HTML, extracts article content, and sends that text with the tab URL and title to the same provider.
