Is Windows Update safe?

Windows Update opens a local fake update page and makes the active browser window fullscreen.

When you click the extension, it opens its bundled update page in a new tab and switches the active browser window to fullscreen. The page plays a local video styled as a Windows Update screen; the reviewed code does not show user data being sent to an external service.
