Is XCAD Network safe?
XCAD Network samples watched YouTube video metadata and frame hashes for watch verification.
When you watch YouTube with the extension active, it reads the current video's ID and channel ID and samples rendered video frames. It hashes those frame samples with playback timing data and sends the watch start, progress, and end events to XCAD Network's API for watch verification.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed XCAD contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
