Is Yandex — Homepage safe?

Yandex — Homepage sends a persistent browser UUID and extension runtime ID to Yandex servers at startup and every two hours.

At launch and on a two-hour interval, the extension transmits a telemetry payload to soft.export.yandex.ru containing a persistent UUID stored in browser storage, the extension version, operating system platform, a branding region string, and the extension's runtime ID. The extension also enumerates all other installed browser extensions via chrome.management.getAll and builds an internal registry of their identifiers and metadata, sharing that information between Yandex extensions via inter-extension messaging.
