Is Zoom Out Chrome safe?

This extension adds quick controls for zooming web pages in and out in Chrome.

It provides an extension popup with a slider and buttons to adjust page scale, plus a double-click shortcut on the icon to reset to 100%. The description says it can remember zoom levels per tab, apply a scale to all open tabs, show the current percentage on the icon, and let you set minimum and maximum scale levels.
