When you use authenticator features such as scanning a QR code, copying a 2FA code, or getting a 2FA code, 2FA Authenticator sends a Google Analytics event to Google. The request includes a persistent client identifier stored by the extension, language and screen details, and reaches Google Analytics where the network request also exposes your IP address.
