Is AliSaving - AliExpress Shopping Assistant safe?
AliSaving watches for a Facebook Pixel subscribe event and silently visits its own AliExpress affiliate link to claim commission.
The extension's background service worker monitors network requests to facebook.com for the standard 'SubscribedButtonClick' Pixel conversion event, which fires on many unrelated sites' newsletter or subscribe buttons and has nothing to do with AliExpress. When it sees that event, it silently fetches AliExpress's own affiliate short-link (s.click.aliexpress.com) with a campaign ID pulled from a remote server, planting the extension's affiliate-attribution cookie without opening a tab or showing the user anything. It then checks AliExpress checkout requests to see whether its token won the commission, and re-arms itself to repeat the process if not.
