Is Annotate Website safe?

Highlight web pages and PDFs, add comments, and manage annotations from a side panel.

This extension lets you select text on websites or PDF files to create persistent highlights, then add or edit comments and change highlight colors. It includes an Annotation Mode for faster highlighting, hotkeys for saving or canceling notes, and export options for Markdown, plain text, or HTML. The description says annotations are stored locally in browser storage and can be backed up or restored with a portable file.
