Is Bad Connection Simulator safe?

Simulates poor audio and video quality in web-based video calls from a browser tab.

This extension lets the user choose none, moderate, or severe impairment during web-based video calls. It works inside Chromium-based desktop browser tabs and applies effects after the webcam and microphone streams before the call is transmitted by the video calling service.
