Is Color Picker - Eyedropper Tool safe?

Color Picker - Eyedropper Tool puts user-triggered tab screenshots in a page-readable canvas.

When you use its eyedropper, the extension captures the visible tab and passes the screenshot to its content script. The content script inserts a canvas into the current HTTPS page and draws that screenshot there, which lets scripts on that page read the image while the picker is active.
