Is Copy as Markdown safe?

Copy selected page content as Markdown from the right-click menu.

This extension lets you copy selected text, links, images, lists, tables, and code blocks from a page in Markdown format. It supports formatting such as bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, task lists, GFM-style tables, and fenced code blocks with language info strings. It uses a context-menu option and access to the active tab to work, and the description says it can write to the clipboard but not read from it.
