Is Distraction Free YouTube safe?

Clean risk

This extension hides common YouTube distractions to create a cleaner viewing experience.

It offers a Focus Mode that hides recommendations on YouTube home and video pages, reduces sidebar suggestions, Shorts shelves, filter chips, end-screen suggestions, and lets users hide or show comments. It can lock Focus Mode for selected durations, save a current video or playlist as a focus target, show a resume card, and warn during repeated Shorts scrolling. The description says settings are stored locally, with no account, remote server, external analytics, or tracking service.
