Is dLcompare - The gamer's price comparison tool safe?

Low risk

dLcompare sends game and search terms from matched websites to dlcompare.com for price comparison.

dLcompare loads site-matching rules from its servers and uses broad content scripts to read game names or search box values on matching pages. When it finds a 3-254 character term, it sends that term to dLcompare's quicksearch endpoint to return price results. Opening the popup can also query extreme-ip-lookup.com for country detection, which discloses the user's IP address to that service.
