Is FactoRight safe?
FactoRight reads session cookies from partner factoring portals and sends them to its own backend for credit checks.
On eCapital, OTR Solutions, Apex Capital and Triumph portal pages, the extension collects login cookies or tokens and keeps them in extension storage. When a user looks up a freight broker, it posts those credentials with the broker's MC number to api.factoright.com. On DAT and Truckstop load boards it also reads search responses in the page to extract MC/DOT numbers, and only the MC number is sent on.
Who publishes itadmin - 1 other listing from the same operator, none carrying a finding
admin - 1 other listing from the same operator, none carrying a finding
What this publisher told the store about itself, and the other listings that told it the same thing.
Same store account
1 other listing published from this account, 1k+ users between them, none of them carrying a finding.
Shared hosts - 1 hostname
Hostnames hardcoded in this extension that few other listings call. That can mean one operator behind both, and it can equally mean a small shared vendor, so it is context rather than a conclusion. Hosts that many listings call are left out: they are services, not connections.

What it can do
Permissions this extension asks for, as declared in version 1.2.11. Asking for a permission is not a finding on its own - it is what the extension can do if it chooses to.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed FactoRight contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
- api.factoright.com
FactoRight sends data to api.factoright.com. No other extension we have analysed sends data here.
