Is favicon-customizer safe?

This extension lets you customize website favicons to distinguish between multiple copies of similar sites.

It helps you change the favicon shown for a site, such as when you use separate work and personal versions of Gmail or Google Calendar. After you add favicon settings, the relevant tab needs to be reloaded before the change appears.
