Is Free Download Manager safe?

Free Download Manager accepts remote uninstall commands from freedownloadmanager.org pages, allowing any such page to remove the extension.

The extension listens for external messages and, when the sender URL contains files2.freedownloadmanager.org, calls browser.management.uninstallSelf() without any user confirmation. This means any page on the freedownloadmanager.org domain — or an attacker who can inject content into one — can remove the extension from the user's browser. The extension also intercepts browser downloads and forwards request headers, cookies for download URLs, and POST form data to the Free Download Manager desktop application via native messaging.
