Is Internal Link Checker safe?

Internal Link Checker reads same-host page links and anchor text when its popup scans the active tab.

When opened, it asks the active tab's content script to enumerate links on the same hostname outside headers and footers, including each URL, visible anchor text, and nofollow/dofollow status. The popup displays the results and lets the user copy or download the selected links locally; the reviewed code does not send that page data to a remote endpoint.
